The Foundation
Whether you are navigating a major life transition or feeling stuck in cycles that no longer serve you, the core of our work begins with a simple truth: you have inherent worth, and you deserve to feel a sense of belonging. My approach is rooted in the belief that our lives are shaped by the stories we experience and by the stories we tell about ourselves. Together, we will look at those narratives through a relational therapy and systems-oriented lens, exploring your family of origin and the broader environments that have shaped your world. By understanding these patterns, we can begin to untangle the "why" behind your decision-making and realign your life with your deepest values.
The Process
Therapy with me is an invitation to move beyond just "talking through" problems and into a deeper state of self-discovery. I blend traditional insight-based work with somatic awareness, helping you tune into how your experiences live within your body. For those who find words aren't quite enough, I often incorporate elements of art therapy to tap into different parts of the self. While my work is informed by 14 years in the social services and mental health fields and specialized training in Gottman Method and Internal Family Systems (IFS), the heartbeat of my practice is self-compassion. We will work to quiet the voices of perfectionism, “not being good enough” and being “too much”, to build a foundation of kindness that allows you to face trauma and life’s complexities with resilience.
The Goal
At the end of the day, most of us are searching for the same thing: to feel loved and like we belong. My goal is to provide a space where you feel seen in your entirety. By integrating clinical expertise with a deeply humanistic perspective, I help you build the tools to understand yourself more fully and live a life that feels authentic to who you are. We aren't just looking to "fix" what is broken; we are working to honor your journey and empower you to write the next chapter of your story with intention and grace.
